Smoked Coffees are Back!

As we all know Memorial Day is this Monday, and that means summer is here! It’s the perfect time for BBQs, picnics, cookouts, and lots of other outdoor fun-in-the-sun activities, including enjoying a nice cup of Smoked Coffee.

Since the debut of Smoked Coffee last summer, we have been working very hard to come up with a new way to build on this CBD exclusive brew. Working very closely with our flavor team (as I tend to do) we experimented with lots of different flavors trying to find the perfect accent to the real wood smoked flavor, without losing what makes this coffee so special.

This task was much easier said than done, since most of the flavors we already offer are just unable to hold up to the smoked taste, and other flavors held up too well and kind of covered up the smoke. Finally, we found what I think will take Smoked Coffee to the next level: Spicy Chipotle flavor.
Now you may or may not know that a chipotle is nothing more than a smoked jalapeno pepper, so it seemed to us like a “match” made in heaven (match, smoke, get it?).

What really makes me love this new flavor is that it actually has heat! It’s a spicy, peppery, smokey summer treat, worthy of accompanying any of your grilled favorites, or even just salsa and chips.
Don’t worry if spice isn’t your thing, we kept the heat to a mild/medium level, and even that will go down as you add milk or half and half to your cup. When I tried this for the first time I was in awe of how the chipotle came through from the first sip to the last, but at the same time the true smoked taste of the beans is still there.
